DOOM & GLOOM BY MICHAEL CLARKE

This image was shot at Walton-On-The-Naze. On this particular evening, as it had been windy all day, I decided with the rough sea I was going to capture some water movement with the water streaks acting as a leading line towards this old groyne. As there was absolutely no colour with the overcast conditions, a black and white conversion works well to capture the mood of the evening and helps emphasise the dark, gloomy, foreboding clouds above the Essex coastline. This is why I love spending most of my time photographing along the East Anglian coast line, even in less than favourable conditions to capture images like these.
