CELESTIAL BY MICHAEL CLARKE

This was a shot that I had planned for many months I just had to wait for the right conditions to have a clear sky long enough to capture star trails above the famous cottages of shingle street with the also just as famous “shell line” acting as a leading line, I spent a fair while pacing up and down the shell line looking for the composition I would be most happy with, Once I was settled with this composition, I then captured a couple of frames for the foreground and then set my camera up to shoot at intervals to capture the movement of the earth and show the star trails.

Shingle Street is one of my favourite places in Suffolk to shoot, especially for astrophotography as its fairly remote and not much light pollution. A perfect spot for star-gazing.
